Day 1: Sacred Valley

We start our journey at 7:30 am from your hotel in Cusco, driving to the Sacred Valley of the Incas. At the Mirador of Taray, enjoy a stunning panoramic view of the Urubamba valley framed by traditional farming communities and majestic mountain peaks. Our next stop is the Pisac archaeological site, renowned for its vast Inca cemetery and intricate agricultural terraces carved into the mountainside. Spend approximately 1.5 hours exploring the extensive ruins, marveling at original Inca architecture.

After Pisac, we briefly visit its bustling market before heading to Urubamba for lunch, where you can savor a buffet of authentic Peruvian dishes or choose from nearby restaurants. Continuing our tour, we explore Ollantaytambo's archaeological site for about an hour, admiring the Sun Temple, water features, Incahuatana, and well-preserved storage buildings. Our final destination is Chincheros, known for its terraces and the Church of the Virgin of the Nativity, featuring unique trapezoidal niches, a sophisticated drainage system, and a distinctive urban layout. We return to Cusco around 7:00 pm, concluding a day rich in history and natural beauty in the heart of the Sacred Valley.

Day 2: Cusco – KM 104 – Wiñay Wayna – Sun Gate – Machu Picchu

Wake up early for an unforgettable adventure as your guide picks you up from your Cusco hotel at 4 AM. Enjoy a comfortable ride to Ollantaytambo, where you'll board a train at 6:10 AM. After a scenic journey, disembark at Km104 to begin your trek. Cross the Urubamba River and pass through various microclimates, including cloud forests. Enjoy a gradual climb with stunning views and a rewarding waterfall at the end. Explore the impressive Inca ruins of Wiñay Wayna and learn about the area's flora and fauna from your guide. After a hearty lunch, continue to the Sun Gate, where you'll be greeted with your first breathtaking view of Machu Picchu.

Day 3: Aguas Calientes – Machu Picchu – Cusco

Today is the day to visit Machu Picchu. After an early breakfast at the hotel, catch one of the first buses up to Machu Picchu to witness the breathtaking sunrise. This extraordinary sight is not to be missed! Your guide will lead a two-hour tour of the Machu Picchu Citadel, covering many of its most significant areas.

After soaking in the exceptional views, take the bus back down to Aguas Calientes for lunch. Depending on the train departure time, you may have time for some shopping, sightseeing, or a visit to the museum or hot springs. The Expedition train departs for Ollantaytambo at 2:55 PM or 3:20 PM, following the scenic Urubamba River. Along the way, enjoy views of the narrow canyon and whitewater sections of the river. Spot Wiñay Wayna high on the canyon wall! Upon arrival in Ollantaytambo, your driver will meet you at the train station to take you back to your hotel in Cusco in a private vehicle, arriving by 7:00 PM.

Day 4: City Tour

We will start the tour at 12:50 pm, introducing you to the Imperial City of Cusco, a living example of the mixture of Andean and Spanish culture. Continuing your journey, you will visit the Convent of Santo Domingo built on top of the Koricancha, as well as the ancient Inca Palace and the main center of worship of the Sun God. Our tour continues to the truly impressive archaeological site of Sacsayhuaman and its Inca military architecture, which dominates the city below. Finally, we explore the archaeological sites of Qenqo, Puca Pucara and Tambomachay, located in the northeast of the city. We will return to your hotel in Cusco in the early afternoon. At 9:00 pm take the bus to Puno.

Day 5: Visit to the Uros and Amantani

We will pick you up from the Puno bus terminal at 7:30 AM and head to the port to visit the floating islands of Los Uros, where families will show us their unique way of life and offer rides on traditional totora reed rafts (not included). Afterward, we will travel to Amantani, where villagers will welcome us into their homes for an overnight stay. We will enjoy a traditional lunch, take an hour-long hike to visit Inca ceremonial temples and admire the stunning views of Lake Titicaca, and participate in a cultural gathering in the evening.

Day 6: Visit to Taquile

After breakfast, we will depart for Taquile. Upon arrival, we will begin our walk to the main square to meet the villagers and admire their world-renowned textile art, known for its rich cultural significance. Following our visit, we will enjoy lunch at a traditional island restaurant.

At 3:30 PM, we will arrive back at the port of Puno and take a brief tour of the city, ending with a drop-off at the main square in Puno. At 10 pm take the bus to return to Cusco.

Day 7: Free Day Cusco
