Day 1: Cusco - Patabamba - Huchuy Qosqo

Begin your Andean adventure at 6 am with a hotel pickup, followed by private transport to Patabamba village (3,800m/12,467ft), just an hour from Cusco. Upon arrival, we'll don our backpacks and start a gentle uphill hike lasting 3 hours to reach the trek's highest point at 4,200m/13,779ft. From here, marvel at panoramic views of snow-capped mountains and valleys before descending towards Pucamarca village to explore Inca ruins.

Next, we follow a segment of the original Inca trail leading to the ancient city of Huchuy Qosqo. Here, immerse yourself in exploring the city and settle into our homestay. Meet a local family who will warmly host you in comfortable accommodations with proper amenities. Enjoy breathtaking views of the surrounding landscapes and the Inca city. In the evening, savor tea followed by dinner prepared by your hosts. As night falls, away from city lights, gaze upon a sky adorned with brilliant stars and learn about the Inca constellations from your guide.

Day 2: Huchuy Q'osco - Ollantaytambo - Aguas Calientes

Embark on an enriching journey through ancient Inca sites and natural wonders starting with a guided exploration of Huchuy Qosqo, where you'll marvel at Inca architecture and learn about its historical significance. After descending to Lamay and a scenic drive to Urubamba for lunch, continue to Moray, an extraordinary site of terraced agricultural experiments. Discover Maras and its ancient salt mines, producing uniquely pink salt from natural springs, before concluding the day in Ollantaytambo. Here, explore the impressive Inca City and dine at a local restaurant before boarding the evening train to Aguas Calientes for an overnight stay.

Day 3: Aguas Calientes - Machu Picchu - Cusco

This day promises an unforgettable experience starting with an early hotel breakfast followed by catching one of the first buses to Machu Picchu for a sunrise spectacle. A knowledgeable guide will lead you on a comprehensive tour of Machu Picchu, covering its agricultural, residential, and religious sectors, providing insights into its historical significance.

After exploring, return by bus to Aguas Calientes for lunch (not included), with optional activities like shopping, exploring, or visiting the museum or hot springs depending on your train schedule. Board the Expedition train around 2:55pm or 3:20pm, tracing the scenic Urubamba River through a narrow canyon with stunning whitewater sections. Upon arrival in Ollantaytambo, your private driver will transfer you back to Cusco, ensuring you reach your hotel by approximately 7:00pm.
